We got this Japanese Lilac tree shortly before my daughter was born so we've always called it her tree. It's been fun seeing how much they've both grown year after year (the tree started out looking like a little twig with no branches). They're both almost 11 years old now and the tree put on a beautiful show of flowers this year!
ps. ignore the ugly dead brown hedge behind the tree (i'm hoping my husband will get around to chopping it down some day)
