December 23rd
December 22nd again
making the lemonade cookie recipe that was posted by Rhonda...they were delicious. Thanks Rhonda!
here's the recipe:
Lemonade Cookies
1 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs beaten
Pinch of salt
1/2 can thawed frozen lemon concentrate
3 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
Mix margarine, sugar and eggs. Add lemonade, flour and soda. Drop onto cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. As soon as you pull them out of the oven you brush them with more lemon concentrate and sprinkle with sugar.

My brother works for new cap radio which has two radio stations in Ottawa. He took us on a tour of his workplace. Here are the kids with "KJ", one of the on-air talents.

some friends kidnapped me and took me out for an early Birthday dinner. They wouldn't let me take a picture of them so all I got was this picture of my soup. I think it had potato, some kind of cheese and lager in it...very tasty!

This year we celebrated Christmas early with my family. I have a bunch of nice pictures with people smiling pretty but i love this one....it's such a typical family get together at my parents place. Food, boys holding a wii remote, my dad making people laugh and the dog being nosey wondering what the crazy humans are doing

testing out the ISO on my new camera. Love it!!! My little guy is the one in purple...he scored a goal shortly after this!

Bought myself an early Birthday present...the Canon 5D MarkII, i'm so excited! This is my first model with my camera, doesn't he look thrilled? :)

November 13th
We crossed over the border to Watertown to do some shopping. It's only a couple hours away and so much fun...what great deals! Our dollar is equal but I can't believe how much cheaper everything is in the US. One of our first stops was Target, love that place

It was just Ben and I for the day today so I told him we could do anything he wanted....he picked McDonald's for lunch and games on the wii the rest of the time

November 11th
I joined my daughter's class at the Remembrance Day Ceremony in Kanata. We didn't have a very good spot so this is the only view I had.

Our friend's father is a WWII veteran and he was kind enough to go to my son's Cub troop and talk a bit about the war.

My daughter's class got to watch the Ottawa Senator's at a practice. We had amazing seats right behind the glass behind the goalie. The kids would scream and duck every time a puck hit the glass...lots of fun!

November 6th
A shot at the location I found yesterday. It was a cold morning but this family was so much fun and we got lots of amazing shots. One of my favourite shoots so far

Trying to find a location for my photo shoot tomorrow. I found this awesome park that still had some leaves left on the trees as well as a great bridge, lake, river and a really cool drainage ditch that had graffiti on the wall.

I love reading with the kids at night and am happy that my daughter still wants to read with me. Right now we're reading "The Last Olympian" by Rick Riordan

bookclub time again. This time we read the book "Sweetness at the bottom of the pie". My favourite part of bookclub is all the yummy treats

October 31st
One of the few pictures that I got this Halloween....it was so cold and nasty out! I made the kids quickly put their costumes on for a picture in the afternoon. When they went out trick or treating that evening they actually had winter coats, hats and mitts on (we got a bunch of snow the previous day).
I like looking at the picture because my daughter is wearing my grade 8 graduation dress...it's nice to see it again! It fits her pretty well with a turtleneck underneath
