First day of school. I wonder if my daughter will make it up to the half moon window by the end of the school year

My god daughter is on the move now and much harder to take pictures of so I haven't taken very many this year. I was able to snap a quick picture of her at a BBQ we were having and I love it

September 2nd

Having fun at the Nine and Dine. The theme was "chef challenge". Three chefs from three different golf clubs competed to see who was the best cook. They all got a box with the same ingredients that they had to use. Everything was delicious! Here we are at hole #6 where the chefs served us an appetizer. We had the main course and dessert after we were done golfing

September 1st

trying out Geocaching. We tried looking for a couple different ones the day before but struck out. The kids were so excited to finally find one. This one was hidden in that tree stump behind the kids...i think they have weird looks on their faces because they can't figure out how to open the container

The "after" picture. I loved seeing what my daughter would pick out for her room...she picked the bedding, curtains, paint colour and ceiling light (which i absolutely love).

My daughter's friend spent most of the week with us. Today we decided to go see "Spy Kids 4)

My daughter's soccer tournament was today so my husband painted his face for it (he's the coach and their team is England). He scared me when he came out of the bathroom...i had no clue he was going to do this. He scared me again by asking me to take his picture....that never happens!!

My daughter was away for the week so we had lots of Mother-son bonding time! I loved every moment of it.

My husband won the club championship for his division at his golf club

My son and I made "Gooey Butter Tarts" (recipe from the Canadian Living step by step cookbook). They were surprisingly not that hard to make and were delicious!

We decided to redecorate my daughter's room this summer. This is the before picture (with a few things missing...some junk, the bedskirt and the netting above her bed)

Day 2 of our girl's weekend - we slept in, went to the Science centre then out for dinner and games at Dave and Buster's. Here we are playing Terminator...check out all my tickets in the cup in front of me....we cleaned up on the Deal or No Deal game.

August 12th

My daughter and I took the train to Toronto to see her God-mother for a Girl's weekend. We had a blast going shopping, out for a nice dinner and to see Cirque de Soleil (Totem).

we were at an outdoor shakespeare play at the park and just when it ended i noticed a beautiful sunset. I had the kids quickly run up a nearby hill and jump. The sun was fading fast so this is the best shot i could get

August 3rd

my husband had a lump removed from deep inside his nose. I was expecting to see his face all swollen with black eyes when i picked him up at the hospital but he looked perfectly normal just a little drugged up. We just got the results back recently and the lump in benign...woohoo!

I was trying to get a nice family picture and everyone thought it would be funny to tell me that the light wasn't flashing...this is me running to try and figure out what was wrong with the camera!  They insisted that i use this one for my picture of the day :)
