some of the wildlife I see while golfing. I believe this is a muskrat....it looks like a beaver but has a rat tail

September 8th
This plant was almost dead (it was just a couple of wilted leaves) so i moved it to a different garden and one month later it's now huge with lots of beautiful flowers....I love it!

August 28th
oops, my days are out of order (and i'm too lazy to erase my previous posts and redo them :)
This is not the greatest picture but I was so excited to get it. I decided to take out my camera and take a couple of pictures of my son's soccer tournament...as soon as I held up the camera, my son got a goal (he's the one on the ground). He was so excited, especially since all of his grandparents were there watching
September 2nd

August 29th
I make a photo calendar for my mother in law as an xmas present every year....I think this one of all the grandchildren might make it in the calendar this year
August 27th
I went hiking in the Gatineau Hills with a Friend today. She brought along her 3 daughters plus one of her daycare kids. I brought along my kids, my daughter's best friend and the dog (the 4 on the left). It was such a beautiful day and I can't wait to go back when the leaves change colour
August 26th
We got a nice surprise today! My daughter's caregiver from when she was 8 months to 3 years old happened to be in town and stopped by for a visit. She moved to Toronto 8 years ago so we haven't seen her in a long time.

my god-daughter is getting baptized soon so we did a little photo shoot to try and get a picture for the invitation. Her mom (the pie making auntie jane from my previous picture) found this adorable tutu for super cheap at H & M.....I love that store!

August 22nd
I helped my husband coach our daughter's soccer team this summer...we had a blast but i'm glad it's over (at least until winter soccer starts up at the beginning of October)
August 21st
We took the kids to visit the Diefenbunker. The Diefenbunker is a huge four-storey bunker, buried deep under a hillside and meant to house the prime minister and other government officials in a nuclear war. It was built in the 1960's has now been decommissioned and is used as a museum
August 20th
We're trying to walk to the Beaver Pond as much as possible before the trees get clear cut. I think I might try and have my Fall mini sessions here if the trees are still around (the different community groups in the area have been doing a good job getting the builder to delay cutting the trees down)

I love this plant....it's a hibiscus that my friend Alison gave to me a couple of summers ago. It accidentally got dug up by some landscapers last summer but managed to survive and this year it's had so many beautiful flowers.
